Romans 3:9-20. One author notes that whenever we read the Bible, that "herein, as in a glass (a mirror), we may all of us behold our natural face." Only when we compare our reflection to the righteousness of God; the light of human experience; and the words of the law, can we really see ourselves for who and what we are by nature. Self-perception is tricky business. And we all desperately need it...
