Deuteronomy 16:13-17. Do you ever take a walk down memory lane? We can often look at the past with a certain romance. There is something centering about it. Yet, in all honesty, rarely would we choose to go back there. The feast of Tabernacles was the feast for "remembering when" but only in so much as it helped God's people keep perspective in times of increase going forward. It was the most joyous of the feasts--as it reminded the Israelites that God will never interrupt the flow of His blessing as long as we keep our gaze upon Him.
